Associate Regional Property Manager

Cook Properties is New York State’s largest owner and operator of manufactured housing communities. Our portfolio includes 100 mobile home parks totaling 7,000 sites. We also own and manage 200,000+ square feet of commercial, retail, and office space, along with 750 self-storage units.

As an Associate Regional Property Manager, you will:

  • Assist in the leasing, sales, resident relationships, maintenance, and expenses of several mobile home communities.
  • Answer incoming calls for the Regional Property Managers
  • Support the Regional Property Managers in carrying out all community policies in managing the properties, corresponding with the owners, and supporting the residents.
  • Assist in preparing plans and provide for implementation of special administrative projects.
  • Organize the operation of properties including lease signing, invoicing utilities, collections and evictions, coordinate vendors, and resident move outs.
  • Provide support to the Regional Property Managers.
  • Supporting the Regional Property Managers on follow-up correspondence on all matters relating to properties managed.
  • Maintain records in a timely and organized manner.
  • Attend and pass advanced educational courses and seminars as well as participate in local professional-related activities.

What we seek:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a property management or real estate
  • Strong organization and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and manage timelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Property Management Software (Rent Manager) and Microsoft Office experience preferred

Maintenance Technician

Join us and become part of the Cook Family. We are hiring a Maintenance Technician.

Cook Properties is New York State’s largest owner and operator of manufactured housing communities. Our portfolio includes 100 mobile home parks totaling 7,000 sites. We also own and manage 200,000+ square feet of commercial, retail, and office space, along with 750 self-storage units.

As Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Apply knowledge of building operating systems such as HVAC, security and sprinkler systems, fire alarms, plumbing, heating, electrical and any other related setup to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Apply proper construction and maintenance techniques and the ability to use power and hand tools to perform repairs/ maintenance/renovation.
  • Respond to emergency situations under any adverse working conditions and make informed and accurate decisions.
  • Assist contractors in the performance and completion of their work.
  • Identify and report unusual or hazardous situations to management to preserve the structural integrity of the building.
  • Maintain building interior by painting, cleaning, and performing other necessary upkeep duties as scheduled.
  • Respond to complaints in a professional manner as appropriate.
  • Monitor maintenance/repair related supplies and report needs to management.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.
  • Follow job-related safety regulations as prescribed by training guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we seek:

  • High School Diploma, preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 2+ years’ experience working in maintenance or constructions roles
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license
  • Organization and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and manage timelines
